“The bread and butter of what we do is seamless gutter installation and covering,” says new owner Jayce Dempsey. He and his wife Teal took over the business last November. Still, with decades of industry experience under his belt, he’s hardly a rookie.

Over his time in the industry, Jayce discovered a genuine enthusiasm for gutters. “Being able to just nerd out on gutters for the homeowner … it’s a lot of fun,” says Jayce. “There’s a lot of instant gratification that comes from starting the morning out with rusty gutters. Then by dinner time, you’ve got nice, shiny, waterproof gutters on the home.”

“Teal has brought something into this industry that I don’t think it’s seen before: she’s brought the artisan eye,” says Jayce. “Most gutter installers offer you three colors and those are your options. Whereas Teal, when she comes out to the home… she talks to them about the color wheel or color palettes and helps the homeowner to appreciate that they’ve actually got 20 different color options.”

At the heart of this new venture is family. As the parents of two young children Jayce and Teal Dempsey wanted a venture that would help them focus on what matters. “We really wanted something that we could build locally and that would let us work together,” says Teal.
