Introducing Northwest Mobile Vet to Mt. Hood:Locally Owned and Operated

By Blake MillerFor The Mountain Times

We’re excited to share that Northwest Mobile Vet is now regularly serving the Mt. Hood area, including Welches and surrounding communities. Our mission is simple: to make high-quality veterinary care accessible and convenient for mountain residents — right at your doorstep.

As a strictly mobile veterinary practice, we come directly to your home or farm, eliminating the need for stressful and time-consuming trips to a clinic. We understand the unique challenges of living in a rural mountain area, and we’ve structured our services to meet those needs. To help make care more accessible for our Mt. Hood clients, we’re offering significantly discounted mileage fees for East Sandy to Government Camp.

Northwest Mobile Vet is a full-service practice led by a team of experienced veterinarians and support staff with extensive expertise in both small and large animals.

We recently hosted a small clinic in Welches through the Hoodland Women’s Club, and the response from local residents was great. People were kind, welcoming, and — most importantly — grateful to have a veterinary resource nearby. That experience reaffirmed what we already suspected: this area deserves access to reliable, compassionate veterinary care.

Our first official service day in the area will be June 24, and we will be operating on a limited schedule to start. If you’re interested in booking an appointment, we recommend reaching out early so we can plan accordingly.

You’ll find us in The Mountain Times each month with new articles covering animal health tips, local updates, and seasonal veterinary advice. Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, we hope to meet you and your animals soon.
