The 2024/2025 season had three outstanding, well-received shows. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, our final production, Nunsense, had to be cancelled. Thank you for your continued support.

Opportunities: You want to volunteer, but lack experience?  SAT will be offering a class on stage management this summer, Saturday, June 21, 10:30 -- 3:30 (with a lunch break  12:30 -- 1:30). Taught by Linda Apperson, a Portland artist whose resume includes teaching experience at Stanford University and guest appearances as local as Lewis and Clark College and as far- flung as Beijing, China.

Ms. Apperson has stage managed hundreds of productions of dramas, operas, and musicals, including dance and music festivals in London, at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center. .

SAT 2025 Summer Youth Program presents CURTAINS UP! LIGHT THE LIGHTS! June 16 - June 27 Monday--Friday 9:00 - 3:00, ages 10-18, performances 6/27 @ 7:30 p.m. and 6/28 @ 2:00 p.m. Enroll now for this complete theatrical experience. Places will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

A Season of Simon

2025/2026  at SAT will be a compendium of Neil Simon classics: We look forward to producing these high-quality shows for your entertainment:

Fools (9/12—10/5)

Fools is a comic fable by Neil Simon, set in the small village of Kulyenchikov, Ukraine, during the late 19th century.  The story follows Leon Steponovich Tolchinsky, a schoolteacher who takes a new job educating Sophia, the daughter of Dr. Zubritsky and his wife, Lenya. Leon soon learns that there is a curse on the village that makes everyone stupid, but complications ensue when Leon falls in love with his pupil.

The Odd Couple (Female Version)  (11/21-12/14)

Neil Simon's revision of his hugely successful play, The Odd Couple, sees the lead characters transformed into Olive Madison and Florence Unger. The show focuses on these two women as they find their place in the world and workforce in 1980s New York City, while simultaneously navigating difficult divorce.

Barefoot in the Park (2/13-3/8)

Newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter are over the moon to begin their life together in their new apartment in Manhattan. The young couple must learn how to accept and embrace their differences as they learn that marriage is no easy walk in the park.

Chapter Two (4/24-5/17)

George and Jennie are in love, utterly perfect for each other, and are getting married. But they've only been dating for two weeks. Neil Simon’s semi-autobiographical Chapter Two examines what it means to truly love someone else and asks whether finding a soulmate can happen more than once in a lifetime.
