I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our July Open House a resounding success.
It was such a pleasure to meet all of you who came out to connect with me and the Mountain Times team at the Mt. Hood Oregon Resort.
I was absolutely blown away by the turnout and the enthusiastic participation. It truly meant a lot to see such strong community support for our little local paper.
While we connect regularly through emails and phone calls, there’s something truly special about meeting face-to-face. Having open, in-person conversations about the things we all love about the mountain was both refreshing and inspiring. We sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and helped make the event so meaningful.
As we gathered in the room, I had a powerful realization: for what may have been the first time ever, as I, the current owner of The Mountain Times was joined by three former owners—all in one room. We made sure to snap a quick photo representing over three decades of ownership and dedication to this beloved paper.
To mark the occasion, I asked everyone in the photo to share their own “Letters” for this month’s issue—and here’s what they had to say:
I am so thankful that me and my staff have been so warmly welcomed into the community.
It is a pleasure and an honor to carry the torch that those who have come before me have lit.
But truth be told, I constantly have to remind myself that running this paper is hard work—because I’m having too much fun.
As our golf columnist Bradford Bixby might say - Until next time dear Readers.
